Initially released back in 2018 in the US, this was a long time coming for the GCC. Before we go into the business perspective, let us briefly explain what the hype around Reels and Instagram Music is really about.
Reels are 15-second videos taking inspiration, or rather, a direct competitive move at TikTok whose main function is short videos. Instagram users can now add reels with an option of either having them display on their grid or not.
Instagram Music, on the other hand, enables you to add your favourite music on Instagram and Facebook stories. Sure, these features are great for personal profiles but what does this mean to businesses like you?
Reels are especially beneficial for teasers, behind-the-scenes videos, bits of information that you’d like your audience to know which is up for longer than 24 hours from Instagram stories.
One of the best options you have with reels is choosing whether you want it to appear on your Instagram feed, allowing a chance for real videos that don’t necessarily have to be according to brand colours or guidelines.
